Thank you to all that made Vogue Knitting Live in NYC a success!!! It was so nice to see so many familiar faces. I finally met Terri Hampton-Rosenthal, the designer of the Gothic Shawl that we knitted this past summer. I saw Steven Bee, Rachy Newin, Franklin Habit...still have not seen Stephen West, oh well. Anyhow, shop is finally put back together, only took 2 days, I moved a lot of the yarn around to give it a fresh look. I now have a clearance table, need to make room for Indy Designers, want to take the shop in a new direction!!!
We had a fantastic time for the Pot Luck Charity Knit In. We're still collecting items to send out to this organization, http://www.warmupamerica.org/. Thank you to Toni for getting this together. We ended up with a nice pile of knit items to send out.
2 BIG things happening with Mother Frogging Yarns (these are my hand dyes that I've been doing for 6 years now)!!! Designer Erika Flory visited Walkway Wools a few weeks ago, she purchased one of my 50/50 Lux yarns and designed this wonderful scarf, Walkway Scarf. Pattern can be found and purchased on Ravelry. Scarf only uses 1 skein.
Also, RachySellsStuff, released info for the Mystery Crochet Along pattern, Murcielago. This MCAL started in August it had over 60 rows! Loved hooking this pattern, definitely a pattern that I've never seen, thank you Rachy for creating this one of a kind shawl.
Attention all local knitters and crocheters, Monday Night Hooks and Needles Group meets here every Monday night at 5PM. Anyone at any level please come chat and relax and widdle away on your project. Plenty of seats, coffee and tea maker available.
